Back in the USA!

After 2 amazing weeks in London, our time was up. We took the train back to Heathrow, and saw a Spitfire in the airport, just like the ones we saw over the White Cliffs of Dover earlier.

Also at the airport was this beautiful creation of a world map. I liked how the desert and forest areas are exactly right.

And the Beatles waved us Good-bye!

We changed planes in Iceland again, and again the weather was not perfect...

We went over some wind generators in the ocean.

Back in the US, I stayed a couple of days at my son's house to see my granddaughter (and her parents, of course).

I even taught her a couple of chords on the ukulele!

Then it was time to fly back West. On the way, we flew over Butte, MT, where I was a couple weeks ago. It was amazing to see the size of he town and the size of the mine. The mine looks bigger than the town!

Here we are coming into Missoula, where I left my rig quite a while ago.

  1. A super-cute granddaughter! The shot of the Beatles made me smile. Really interesting to see all the wind generators in the ocean.

  2. This is what I love about this lifestyle. Freedom. I live half year in the US west, mainly boondocking, the other 6 months I am spending with international travels. All I need to do is to store my rig somewhere safe. I couldn't do it if I was living in a rental condo...

  3. England can't have too many Spitfires on display. The nation owes so much to those iconic planes (and their brave pilots).
