Next Stop, Tillamook - Yummy!

Tillamook, Oregon is the home of Tillamook Creamery, famous for their ice cream and cheese.

They have a great self-guided tour, and at the end they give you cheese samples.

And you can eat lunch there, too. Don't miss the Mac 'n Cheese with Bacon!

Tillamook is also home to the Tillamook Air Museum.

It's located inside a very large hanger that was built in 1943 to house K-class airships that would be used for anti-submarine patrol and convoy escort during WWII.

This was my favorite exhibit, and by far the weirdest!

We also did the short hike to Munson Creek Falls. The trail is closed about half-way in, but you can still see the falls off in the distance.

We also had a great tour of the nearby Coast Guard station.

And we had a wonderful time at the Tillamook Farmers Market. One of our WIN friends has a booth there!

And then on another day we did a 4X4 trip into the mountains to check out the local logging operations.

Since it was Sunday, we got to wander around all the equipment.

And then on Labor Day, we had a potluck, and were treated to a concert by our very talented fellow WINs!
