
Ames, Iowa is home of the Reiman Gardens.

It consists of 11 gardens, including a rose garden and a children's garden.


There was a nicely landscaped model train section.

My favorite was the tropical indoor butterfly garden, with 800 butterflies -- 80 different species from 6 continents.

Just look at this black Iowa dirt! Back in Virginia, we'd have to buy this by the bag.
