On Saturday, we decided to brave the city and go in to downtown Chicago. Ten of us waited for the 9 o'clock train.
You can ride the train for the entire weekend for just $5. What a deal!
When you get downtown, there are free trolleys you can use to get around. Our first stop was the old water tower, built in 1869. Two years later, the Chicago fire leveled nearly every building except the tower.
While we were on the train, a local told us that the Hancock Observatory was better than the Sears Tower, so that's where we went. Here's the view to the south from the top. You can see the taller Sears Tower on the right.
And here's the view to the north.
While I was there, I thought I'd earn some extra money washing windows.
And try to steal some worker's lunch.
