In addition to the Society Islands of French Polynesia, our cruise goes to 2 of the Cook Islands. This requires a day at sea, both coming and going.
We have a very nice room on Deck 7, near the back of the ship. This picture is taken into the mirror, the only way to get a shot. There is lots of storage spots (always appreciated by an RVer.)
I love the balcony -this is the first cruise I have been on where I had one.
The room even has a hat rack! Well, not sure that's what it's supposed to be, but it works...
There are 3 restaurants on the ship, all very fancy. We go to Le Grille for breakfast and lunch, where they have a huge buffet. Dinner is at L'Etoile, where you get a 7 course meal.
There are lots of presentations on the ship, especially on "at sea" days. This is a demonstration of how to cut up a moon fish.
And of course we had to have the life boat drill -
After which, there was a seminar about the Titanic...
I especially enjoyed all the food being cooked by someone else on my cruise. :)
ReplyDeleteBalconies rock! That's my favorite part (well, after the eating).
ReplyDeleteNever been on a cruise but it sure looks like a great time. The pic of you on the balcony is really good.
ReplyDeleteWe made the mistake of getting a balcony on our first cruise; now can't imagine not having one.
ReplyDeleteI can see why your are smiling:) Keep having fun.
ReplyDeletemaybe they should have shown the Titanic bit first, as it would have concentrated peoples attention. Looks good fun.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the food on cruises! I've never had a balcony, though. It does sound nice. Looks like you're having a great time! :)
ReplyDeleteI would be terrified to take a cruise but if I ever do I think the last thing I want to see is a seminar on the Titanic LOL I love your room and how cool is that that you have your own balcony wow, happy sailing :)
ReplyDeleteDid you by any chance come back to your room and find your towels were made into animals or characters by the room steward? Had that happen to me on a cruse once. It's quite creative of them and fun.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did wonder where Diana went. Thouht I would check in today only to find you cruising in the tropics. That little deck looks really nice. Love your pictures and like the way to capture the culture. Have a great time! Virginia
ReplyDeleteNothing like a Titanic seminar to spoil your fun at sea. Of course, there are not too many icebergs floating around where you're sailing.
ReplyDeleteYou can make good use of that balcony and keep a sharp lookout for one...
That is one fancy room! Sure beats the one we shared on our Carribean cruise. Why on earth would they talk about the Titanic?
