After North Carolina, I visited my son in Northern Virginia. We stayed behind the Elks Lodge in Manassas, which is very unusual. It used to be a dairy farm, then the Hayloft Dinner Theater.
There was even wildlife to view.
Mothers Day began with a softball game.
Mark even hit a home run, but Mom kind of missed the shot...
Then there was dinner - Mark's a very good cook, and I'm still trying to figure out where that came from...
And he shared some wine from his impressive wine cellar.
And if that wasn't enough, I got flowers!
The only one not happy was my grandson, Moto.
I also visited with my father in Pennsylvania. I didn't get many pictures, but I had a great time. We got to help celebrate his sister's, my Aunt Bea's, birthday.
I managed to get everyone with their mouths full. My one-and-only cousin, Linda, and her husband Terry are on the left, next to her daughter, Rebecca.
Mmm, I DO like that wine cellar!
ReplyDeleteOur Son and Daughter are both good Cooks, Enthusiasts even, and we too have wondered where that came from.
ReplyDeleteGreat Pictures Diana. YOU even have one of Mark smiling and now hiding from the camera. (Mike also cooked lunch for me on Mother's Day. Isn't it nice to have sons that are comfortable in the kitchen.)

ReplyDeleteYou managed to get a shot of all of us enjoying dessert except for mom giving you that long suffering look. Priceless! Doesn't your dad look great? He looks better than he has in a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteLinda's right - Daddy looks great. Thanks for the pictures. That was very sweet of Mark to buy you flowers.
