It's Time to Move North!

Somewhere around the middle of April, the Phoenix area was getting too warm, so up the hill to Prescott Valley I went, meeting back up with the WINs.

Our first outing was a walking tour of Old Town Prescott.

The Courthouse is the center of town.

Right next to it is "Whiskey Row."

We had lunch at the Palace Casino. There was a huge fire here in 1906, but this huge bar was carried out and saved by the bar patrons.

On our tour, we got to see the inside of the Elks Theater.

This looks like a 3D sculpture, but is actually just a painting.

On another day, we went to the Highlands Center Natural Discovery Garden -

And went on a couple short hikes.

I really liked this t-shirt in the gift shop.

We also went on a day trip up to the old mining town of Jerome.

And I walked down to Fain Park, down the hill from the Elks Lodge where I was staying.

They even had some rusty stuff!

We also went hiking at beautiful Watson Lake! Wow!

Back at camp, this guy really liked my ladder.
