First Full Day in Copenhagen
After sleeping soundly to 11 am, it was time to get moving. The first thing we did was walk around the center of Copenhagen. We went to the City Hall -
Where we had a nice visit with Hans Christian Andersen.
We went to the Round Tower -
And walked up the circular ramp to the top.
We had a nice view of the city.
We went to several churches, including the Trinitatis Church, connected to the Round Tower.
We then went to the Rosenborg Castle, built by King Christian IV in the early 1600s.
The tour leads you through many rooms, all amazing. This is the chamber of Christian V.
The ceilings were amazing.
One room had lots of incredible ivory sculptures.
We also went by the Christianborg Palace.
And then took a boat ride through the city. We saw many things, including the stock exchange, the long building here.
We also saw the beautifully colored buildings in Copenhagen.
And the very unique Opera House, where they also have cliff diving competitions.

I am enjoying your blog. We were there 2 weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteNice! We were in Copenhagen for a long weekend back in 1999. We had won a trip to the Copenhagen Jazz Festival sponsored by Carlsberg beer!
