What Have I Done???

One day Max led us on a backcountry drive on the Switzerland Trail near Longmont, CO.

The road didn't seem that bad, in spite of this sign.

Here you can see the road we came up, winding along the sides of the mountains.

We had our lunch at the site of this old chimney on the top of Mt. Alta. I couldn't find the history of the place.

But then we decided to come down Pennsylvania Gulch. Uh-oh! Our information had said this was an easy drive. Maybe we were on the wrong road. Anyway, there was no turning around, and we made it back alive.

While we were in Longmont, they had a big Classic Car Show there.

And of course, this rusty truck.

Now for the big news. I've been shopping for a new truck. I found this one at the local GMC dealer, but it didn't have enough towing capacity.

But here it is! The one I chose - a 2012 GMC Sierra. The thing I liked about it was the 6 gears - much better for towing than the 4 gears the Yukon had. I still have trouble getting it into a parking space, but I'm learning.
