Quarantining Near Flagstaff
When I left off, I had moved up the hill to the forest near Flagstaff. The weather is perfect here!
One day I went on a road trip to check out part of Route 66. The first stop was the cute little town of Seligman.
There are murals all over town, representing Route 66, that goes from Chicago to Santa Monica.
This showed the distance to various points along the way.
This hotel had murals all along the front. Just gorgeous!
There was lots of old memorabilia all over town. I thought it was funny that this restaurant served "dead chicken."
I then went back towards Williams on the old Route 66. There were lots of Burma Shave signs along the way.
Williams also has some cute stuff in town.
I even got to meet Elvis!
Back at camp, we had Happy Hour each day, keeping our social distancing.

Time to Move Farther Up the Hill
Before I left Prescott Valley, I took a trip to one more lake, Lynx Lake.
You can walk all the way around the lake, even going over the dam.
Back at the Elks Lodge, where I was parked, more of the cactus were starting to bloom.
A few Gambel's Quail came by to visit my campsite -
And we often could hear coyotes down in the valley behind my rig. This poor guy was all alone though...
When it got too hot, I moved up the hill towards Flagstaff, to meet up with some friends.
And lots of cows...
Meanwhile my youngest granddaughter had her 6th birthday on Facetime. I'll bet she won't forget this! She's such a happy kid that she just loved it. I played "Happy Birthday" for her on my ukulele.
I hope everyone's doing well, and I sure hope this is over soon!
