Now that I'm back in the West, it's time to get back to boondocking. I was asked quite a while ago for some pointers, but I'm sorry to say I was too busy "summer touring" to think about it until now. So here are some of my favorite sources. The Escapees RV Club has a list of free camping spots called Days End. I use it often. It can be downloaded for $5.
DiscoveryOwners.com has many, many lists that can be downloaded and put into Streets and Trips and other programs. Among the many databases they have are: Walmarts, no parking Walmarts, Sams, casinos, dump stations, Flying J's, rest areas, state parks, RV-Unfriendly towns, etc. The list just goes on and on.
Many of the Elks, Moose, and Eagle lodges offer free or inexpensive RV parking to their members. They also provide instant friends wherever you are.
There are many websites with useful information. Here are just a few that I find useful:
Casino Camper
Oregon Sno Parks
Washington Sno Parks
California Sno Parks
FreeCampgrounds.com
Dump Locations
And more Dump Locations
