The Palace of Versailles
On our next Paris day, we took the train out to Versailles. The kids look really excited!
Since we had a tour scheduled later, we got to avoid the VERY long lines and go right in. We toured the gardens while waiting for our tour.
We happened to be there when the fountains were on - they aren't on all the time.
And guess what! They had barfing animals!
This fountain is totally made up of barfers -
Including some guys!
Why does my butt hurt? There were hundreds of statues in the gardens, but this was the weirdest.
Well, at least the swan isn't barfing...
After walking through the gardens, we headed up the stairs to meet our tour guide.
Our English tour took us to some of the parts of the palace that are too small for the humongous crowds in the general admission rooms.
The chapel here is more impressive than any of the other churches we have seen.
The rest of the pictures are all of ceilings -
I tend to like them better -
And the crowds aren't up there.
It was a great day!
