Yuma is a great place to spend the winter, and we had a lot of fun while we were there. One day we went on a tour of Martha's Gardens, a huge organic date farm. Our tour was done by the son of the original owner.
Martha's has many, many Medjool Date Trees on their farm. The tour was wonderful!
The male date palms are very rare, but this is one. There are 50 females to every male. Great ratio!
On another day, Paul led us on a rather scary 4-wheel drive trip that goes along a ridge.
But we found some rusty stuff, so it was well worth it.
On the way back, we stopped at the "Bridge to Nowhere," a suspension bridge that used to span the Gila River, which is now dry at this point.
One day, we were invited to a gathering at Tom and Mary Jane's, who have a gorgeous house in the Foothills of Yuma. They even had live entertainment and dancing.
I did a lot of ukulele playing with the Yuma Uku-holics, and one evening we even had a concert at a local RV Park. I'm in the lower left.
Back at camp, my hummingbird feeder was very popular here!

I had no idea about the 50:1 ratio on the palms, very interesting!
