Yeah!!!! Canada was beautiful and we had a lot of fun, but I'm glad to be home.
Our next stop on the WIN circuit around Lake Superior was Grand Marais. What a beautiful town, right on the Lake, with a gorgeous harbor.
And the fishing must be great. Look at the size of this one!
Our first adventure was to drive up the Gunflint Trail, a 57-mile long road into the wilds of Northern Minnesota. We went on a short hike to the top of Honeymoon Bluff, where we had a spectacular view of several lakes. The WINs were a little nervous about the name though, so we didn't stay long.
On to another lake, where this Paul Bunyon totem pole stood watch. Shouldn't Paul be on top of Babe, instead of the other way around?
Then it was time for lunch. The WINs never miss a meal. I've been looking for a moose, and maybe this is as close as I'll get.
Wow, this is much better!
This cute sign was in the men's room at the restaurant. Bet you wonder how I got the shot...
Desert was the best I've ever had.
Stopping at another lake, we were met by a group of canoes just coming off a week on the Boundary Waters.
They showed us how they went through numerous lakes, portaging between them. Wow, what an adventure!
Amazing how similar our blogs are. We must be sisters.
