Hightailing It to the Coast

Returning from Ecuador, I drove from my daughter's in San Diego to where my RV was in Provo, Utah. But it was really hot there, so I hightailed it over to the Pacific Ocean, arriving in Crescent City, CA 2 days later. The next day, I went to see the local lighthouse, Battery Point. I didn't stay in Crescent City very long, but I did go on a hike in Jedidiah Smith State Park on the Boy Scout Tree Trail.

The Redwood trees there are huge, and very interesting.

I had to do a panorama shot to get a photo of one.
