I've moved up to Page, AZ with the WINs, and our host, Carolyn, set up a tour for us through Upper Antelope Canyon. Although I prefer Lower Antelope Canyon, I had not been to Upper in many years, so I jumped at the chance.
Our guide, Leonard, was excellent.
After a bumpy ride down the wash, we arrived at the entrance to Upper Antelope.
And in we go! Of course we were not the only ones there - this is a very popular tourist attraction, especially for Europeans.
The swirls start immediately.
Most of the good shots are overhead, which is good because you don't get other people in your shot.
But I was getting a crook in my neck...
At one point the guides throw sand on this ledge and you can get a shot of it falling.

He was good at giving photography advice, and pointing out unique shots.
After taking about a hundred shots, we arrived at the back end of the canyon, where Leonard spoke for awhile, then we started back through.
By now, it was the middle of the day, and there were beams of light shining down in several places. I always thought the guides threw sand up to make the beams brighter, but these are natural.
