My Gig in Gig Harbor

At our stop in Gig Harbor, WA, we were very fortunate to be able to stay on the private property of one of our WIN members, Mel. It just doesn't get any better than this! Look at that rusty stuff in the foreground!

And more rusty stuff!

And this is the view from my spot. Nice, huh?

And look what you can see over the Big Top - Mt. Rainier!

It's even prettier late in the day.

Distractions are everywhere - this bee was on my tire, carrying his pollen on his hind legs.

Downtown Gig Harbor is beautiful - a great harbor!

These kids were trying to catch crabs with the chicken legs, but they all ended up to be too small and had to be thrown back.

More rusty stuff downtown - this truck had a bush growing out of the top of it.

There's even a tiny lighthouse here.

I'm loving my new camera, and got this shot of the half moon.

Lyn and I took a walk across the Narrows Bridge.

This bridge is the replacement for "Galloping Gertie" which collapsed 4 months after it was opened in 1940.

And what's that I see in the distance?

Mt. Rainier again!

  1. I'm surprised you didn't trade in your pickup for that green rusty GMC. You could then take your rusty stuff with you... :cD
